About Us

Standard Poly. Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as SPCL) is a professional manufacturer of pin-pigs, foam-pigs, and primary decoking tools (Tungsten Carbide, TCD). Our products are specifically designed for decoking heater tubes and process pipelines, as well as for cleaning and de-watering operations across the oil refining, petrochemical, and related industries.

SPCL combines practical management experience in oil refining and petrochemical processes with the expertise of professional mechanical tooling engineers. Through over a decade of research and development, we have continuously collected and analyzed customer feedback and technical data.

We know how to produce and manufacture pin-pigs suitable for decoking various types of heater tubes, foam-pigs for cleaning, inspection, and de-watering, as well as the essential corresponding TCD tools.

TCD

SPCL provides two types of TCD products: the 1/4" TCD and the 3/8" TCD.

SPCL TCD is primarily formed through powder metallurgy. By utilizing an optimal ratio of Tungsten Carbide, the alloy hardness of the TCD can be precisely controlled.

Based on actual customer usage for decoking the same heater tubes (conducted annually) over the past 15 years, SPCL TCD has never caused any scratching on high-temperature resistant alloy steel heater tubes, such as P9 and P11.

The surface of the SPCL TCD is designed with approximately 14 smooth points. This design increases the number of contact points during decoking, thereby enhancing decoking efficiency while ensuring the tube walls are not scratched.

SPCL TCD Applicability:
- 1/4" TCD is suitable for 55mm - 207mm pin-pigs.
- 3/8" TCD is suitable for 215mm - 300mm pin-pigs.

SPCL provides 6 sizes of foam pigs, specifically: 3"x8lb, 4"x8lb, 5"x8lb, 6"x8lb, 8"x8lb, and 10"x8lb.

Similar to the casting process of pin-pigs, various modifiers are added in addition to the base PU material when casting foam-pigs. This ensures the product's toughness and maintains an appropriate Shore Hardness.

With their excellent toughness and optimal hardness, SPCL foam-pigs have a compression ratio of approximately 25-30% during operations (depending on the pigging pump pressure).

Due to their high compression ratio, SPCL foam-pigs offer outstanding functionality and efficiency for pipeline cleaning procedures and de-watering.

pin-pig

SPCL provides a variety of pin-pig sizes, ranging from 40mm to 300mm, offering a total of 42 different dimensions.

During practical operations, SPCL pin-pigs maintain excellent mechanical strength, outstanding flexibility and elasticity, as well as an appropriate Shore Hardness. This is primarily because, in our pin pig casting formulation, we incorporate various modifiers in addition to the base polyurethane (PU) material to ensure all our products possess these characteristics.

Due to their excellent flexibility and elasticity, all pin-pigs can easily navigate through the 2D bends of fired heaters during actual operations.

Furthermore, the optimal hardness and elasticity provide SPCL pin-pigs with a 5-7% compression ratio, enabling more effective decoking.

All pin-pigs are designed to maximize the comprehensive implantation of TCDs, thereby achieving nearly 360° decoking coverage.

In standard decoking procedures, SPCL pin-pigs can be utilized as the first-pig, pigging-pig, and final pig.
